Audit the cable quoted for your route
Start with the route and destination: aerial span, duct occupancy, coastal humidity, direct burial or subscriber drop. Ask the factory to connect those conditions to the construction, fibre count, sheath and strength member shown in the quotation.
Check identification for the receiving team
Confirm cable legend, metre marking, drum number, gross weight and any Spanish wording before production. Clear identification reduces mistakes when an importer, ISP warehouse or contractor receives several models in one shipment.
Match tests to the actual batch
Request attenuation or continuity records, cable-end identification and photos linked to the model and drum numbers being supplied. A general laboratory photo is useful background, but batch-linked evidence supports acceptance.
Review packing against the destination port
Agree drum length, flange protection, cable-end sealing, wood treatment needs and packing-list descriptions with the importer or forwarder before loading. Port and inland handling conditions should shape the release plan.
Use a short remote audit sequence
Review the production area, the quoted construction, test point, marking sample, finished drums and loading evidence in that order. This creates a practical approval trail without requiring every buyer to travel to the factory.
